Axe News Now

Updated: May 5, 2022

On Monday, June 28, 2021, World Media House launched Axe News Now and has obtained over 48,000 unique visitors from around the world. David D. Holt, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of World Media House, views’ the birth and success of Axe News Now as an overnight sensation. In 2009, Rutgers reported a US study indicating that the internet is the most popular source of information and the preferred choice for news ahead of television, newspapers, and radio. With multiple digital news aggregators available, biases can emerge. In particular, three types of discrimination can be distinguished: information, selection, and confounding bias. To maintain objectivity in journalism, journalists should present the facts about whether they like or agree with those facts.

“Axe News Now is the location for unbiased news for everyone. The goal is to provide a thought-provoking centered viewpoint to foreign and domestic public issues.” - David D. Holt

1969 to 1974 was the beginning of speculation news commonly referred to as fake news. During President Richard Nixon’s administration’s informational blackout, traditional media outlets began reporting opinionated information to easily influenced consumers. After realizing that directing viewpoints increased the profitability of their bottom line, the once-great role of journalism became tainted for financial gain.

“We take this issue seriously. There is no reason anyone’s words are misrepresented. The same amount of time it takes to mislead someone could have been spent saying the truth. The truth may hurt but it allows freedom. Axe News Now presents factual information to a reader and allows the reader to come to their own conclusions. Political sides are not taken and advertisers do not sway viewpoints, and I believe the readers understand and value this approach.” - David D. Holt
